'Suhana Safar' is a magical journey of the golden era of Hindi Cinema.
To start with, it will be a fortnightly, two-hours show enabling
listeners to experience the joys of listening to melodies that
entertained audiences between 1940s and 1980s.
The literal translation of Suhana Safar is ‘Delightful Journey’, and
the above period of 40 years in the Bollywood world is surely the most
delightful passage. Join me and you will enjoy the experience.
It is not just listening to a classic tune, it is the whole experience
about knowing everything about that magical tune, the people and their
talents, the rich and powerful meanings to the lyrics, the commitment
and dedication of composers, the expressions and magical moments of
performers on whom the songs have been picturised and obviously the
mesmerising voice of the singers.
In every episode of the 'Suhana Safar', I will take you through the
fascinating stories of the films, actors, actresses, producers, film
directors, music directors, lyricists or any other characters of
Hindi Cinema. I will reveal some interesting facts, stories and
fascinating trivia from that golden era.
'Suhana Safar' will also feature special guests occasionally where I
will interact with the guests for that era while providing listeners
with a never-seen-before glimpse into those characters’ professional
and personal lives.
Well, this is my research subject and I love to share this with
listeners from anywhere across the world so that they are able to
relax and enjoy the program.
