Gaata hai Mausam (गाता है मौसम)-is a musical entertainment programme that aims to cultivate a loving appreciation of all the beautiful seasons of Nature through popular Bollywood melodies, thereby encouraging our listeners to preserve our climate from Global Warming. From time immemorial, Nature has nurtured, soothed and comforted human beings through all its beautiful seasons and rendered inspiration to poets, song writers, musicians and singers.

Many environmental themes in music have emerged from the appreciation of Nature, it’s wilderness and its seasonal variations, thus encouraging and advocating the need for its protection by creating awareness of topics such as environmental degradation, pollution and climate change.

Songs convey a significant chunk of the script in our Bollywood movies and through these songs, the lyricists and music composers capture and celebrate the essence and beauty of rain, snow, flora, fauna, views of lofty mountains, forests, waterfalls and lakes during the various seasons of Nature. In this programme ‘Gaata hai Mausam’, I will endeavour to recapture the happiness you derived from your favourite Bollywood melodies that reflect the splendour of Nature in all its beautiful seasons.

The programme will also encourage the listeners to appreciate the importance of our shared responsibility towards conservation of Nature and take up initiatives to preserve the environment.
